I know reaching out to people directly on BP, searching forums etc would be a clear approach which I intend to do.

Hello AllI am new to the forum.

I recommend reading all you can and spending some time in the forums here to learn all you can before you're ready to buy.  

Yes, an exhaustive knowledge would be nice, but I was hoping that's what a professional forum like this could help me with.I don't feel it's fair to tell a person to exit the stage just because they're not 100% educated. 

Take the e-courses, watch the webinars, read the newsletter and reading the forums will let you learn and hopefully avoid some of the pitfalls.
