There are plenty of factors that only you can put a value on (like stability, freedom, quality of life).If you want example of my situation here's why I rent:I have a nicer place, my rent was low barrier to entry then if I was to buy.It was easier to invest my down payment funds OOS vs doubling them to buy and rent.I get nervous about HOAs and life happens, I like the freedom to move as I please.If I was to go all in, my OOS properties would pay my rent and be paid off at the same price I'd of paid to get my mortgage down to what I currently pay in rent....
