well, I will be heavily traveling for those 3 months and I am able to command a pretty decent profit on the rental, and I can use the spare cash ;) (great tenants - 760+ credit score, 4x income etc.).

Do some research among other active hosts in your area and see what they think about your house as short term or moderate term, e.g. corporate rental or travel nurses.

Storage investors on the other hand may very well take pause as it's moving them into "habitational" real estate which goes against one of the primary "advantages" of self storage.
