It looks like you've already done some research regarding multi families in your new location- keep researching and specifically talk to the agents and find out if the properties you are interested in would pass a VA appraisal (many don't).  

And they specifically said they would not make any negative reports to the credit bureaus during that time.

So to pin the number down specifically, will depend on the structure.

I know that modular and paneling construction are becoming more popular, especially since hotel buildings benefit specifically from same-hotel-room modular construction.

I am specifically looking to purchase a property in the 500 to 600k price range in Queens, NY.

I am pretty set on moving out to Europe (specifically London), when I graduate.

Also be very specific in ads such as: credit above 600, no prior evictions, no section 8, etc.
