i get all of your answers so far because the attorney said the same thing. and i have no objection to the county claiming a right to their public land. what i have an issue with is that nobody told me about this before i bought it. as to the post about showing up in title search.....is it my realtor's job to do that or advise me of it?

It is good if you can use that objection to your advantage and refer them directly to someone who will pay you for your work.
