I know you may be the victim of your own wishful thinking but do not expect this to be a quick resolve and you know what they say,"time is money". 

This might be a lengthy post so I apologize.Last March I took my first full time job as an experiential market manager in Orlando and although my job is pretty fun I quickly realized why I was an independent contractor for so long.

From what I understand this area is quickly turning anti landlord.

YUP  I could have flipped this plat to DR for a quick 1 mil profit but we decided to build it out and that brought us an additional million plus in profit .. of course you have risk reward.. flipping to DR takes all the risk out.. but we were and are confident in this market and price points.. the over million market is slowing a lot of PDX or taking a breather as I like to say.. but the 350 to 500k is still robust and that's where we play

It's certainly not an easy or quick process but it can be an excellent way to literally build equity into your property and get a home designed just how you like it.

Most people move in the Spring or Summer, so if you want to get a tenant quickly it may be a good idea to offer move in incentives that will set your property apart.  

A quick look on Airbnb shows a bunch of tiny homes at about $85 in New Bern, with multiple to choose from, meaning available and not yet sold out.
