The club is moving in the direction of education on fix and flips as we have several seasoned investors and the market here in Syracuse is becoming more suited for flippers such as myself.

From what I remember Atlantic City, Ventnor, and Margate prohibit weekly vacation home rentals and the shortest term rental period allowed would be a full summer season (May - September).

I went shopping during the holiday season when there was a lot less competition.

At that point I will consider a combo of selling/holding in order to meet the ultimate goal of purchasing  a retirement home in my beloved home town of Santa Cruz California to be close to my family again while maintaining a seasonal property back on the east coast to be able to spend time with my kids and extend family here.I am looking forward to learning more and meeting others who share similar interests here on BP!

Has anyone ever used a bank/credit union with no seasoning requirements to get a loan for a rental?

Do any of you more seasoned investors that live in the area have any advice for me with getting started?

Every year my business partner and I talk about trying to get a quality property for seasonal rental in the shore area, but the prices really are ridiculous.

After 2 years, corn land is converted to soybean land, which is a legume type crop that can replace nutrients back into the grown, allowing them it to be used for corn growing in another season.

I realize it's busy season now, so this is probably something for the May time-frame.
