I would have an agent who you plan to list with, your GC who will be sending you daily or every other day updates with pictures, and a local investor or some other person who can check in on the project other than your agent.

These are useful for low-use various building supplies that can be affected by moisture, stuff like drywall tape (especially the composite tapes), fasteners (that weren't sold in the big buckets), various hardware (still in clamshell packaging wherever possible), any sort of rubber or vinyl hose, etc.Larger supplies (rolls of tubing and electrical wire) go in garbage bags.Sheet good like OSB, plywood, cement board, and drywall are a real pain.

All that being said, if you stayed out of my way and offered some value on the project (maintaining schedule, daily job logs, taking photos, organizing the yard, coordinating deliveries... played all around errand and gopher boy)...

I'd be concerned about this person calling daily and questioning every decision I made.

Its a mindset.Some happen to be accidental landlords (aka they buy a condo for their kid to go to college then rent out the condo after).Some of the best agents have great income but they beholden to their business on a daily basis.
