But charging agents seems like "biting the hand that feeds" because Zillow's entire web platform is built off syndicating MLS data (which we agents already pay for in terms of subscriber fees to maintain each of our MLSes). 

this forum is great. even though I am really in no position to invest in real estate (other than buying REIT shares but that's cheating a little), this forum has been extremely helpful in educating myself on things that really are only glossed over in the personal finance field in other parts of the web.

I don't want that hassle.It would also be nice to save on the commissions and view the MLS.The way I understand Oregon law (from Oregon's web site) is you have to take the class, pass the test then find a principal broker to sponsor you.
