I love meeting ppl and hearing their stories and getting tips on what to do/where to start.

The contractor I used on my last project wanted $11,000 to install a new 3 ton heat pump (brand new system, new compressor, air handler, run duct, etc) in this house.  

I close on it Wednesday the 18th as of now, and even though this was a long process I really feel like this is going to rocket me onto the path of financing independence and a better quality of life!

Tips and tricks for beginners like me?

They will tell you how you can call your CC companies and increase your credit line all so you can purchase more of their classes.You might get a good tip here and there, but I wouldn't be surprised if the info they give you only leaves you with more questions.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you all and forging and being a productive member of this community.I am a software quality assurance manager in Toronto, ON and live in Niagara Falls(St Catharines) ON.

Editing to add we are a little more worried than usual (we would probably just run fans and a humidifier and clean up ourselves) but our forced hot air system comes from this basement and we have a newborn baby so really don’t want to be having mold coming through our air vents! 

I am not convinced that there is any difference in quality between providers for the basic service that they offer.
