I'll have to check it out, but thanks to the wonderful state of CA.... a LLC is 800 min for me, so it's unlikely it'll make sense here for a long long time.

The property is not located on a hill and it is certainly not in an area that would accommodate a high-rise so that makes me wonder. 

Just wondering what the tax implications are of paying a partner/contractor who is a non-owner a premium for the work done with a flip?

Again, not entirely sure the reasons but I’m wondering if it is worth it for that additional layer of obfuscation, as you say.
