The newer ductless units are much more efficient and most are rated down to about 5 degrees outdoor temperature while still producing about 60 percent of their maximum rated capacity.

Until then, it's slow and steady unless you hit a home run (easier said than done as well), want to find partners, or find non-traditional solutions to coming up with cash.

If you are able to rent your townhouse for $2200 or more per month, it may be a good option to go that route as it could provide a steady stream of income and potentially help reduce your overall housing costs.
