Research the statistics on 10 year holds.

We are trying to keep it simple, but 10 units could provide level 1 independence for us (and our primary residence will be paid off by then, its a pretty lateral move).

Second mistake- when I rent to someone I make sure that ALL adults are on the contract and can pay independently of each other.
