I decided to join BiggerPockets because I saw it as a valuable tool to help take my real estate investing career to the next level.

Getting a good tenant reminds me of a term we use for buying high quality tools: "pay for quality and you only cry once; buy cheap and you'll cry a lot."  

They both are very polite, keep to themselves for the most part, and have even helped me with a few things around the property.

Is this the end all be all site for larger multi-family/apartment complexes or is there a better site/tool to find properties?

Let's not turn this into a pit bull debate and politics as it has been discussed at length in the past.For every statistic that someone can show them as lovable and huggable then another can show the exact opposite.I have had varying animals all my life so know a lot about them.
