On the Lis Pendens for this house, there is a local real estate broker listed as a defendant alongside the homeowner.

Some keep your current split on active contracts and some may come up with a new split favorable to them.Best to work it out with the current broker. 

I was hoping a local bank could help but they aren't very good at returning calls apparently to get free money from me haha. 

I did five years Active and traveled all over the globe.

Since you won't be local- it may be worthwhile to use a property manager.

Also, if you're looking for time to spend with your family... maybe have it be an activity you do together, and make it fun (if you have kids) and get pizza or ice cream every time or every other time for something to look forward to.
