The biggest question I'm teetering with right now is buying in Michigan or Florida first.

Now let me emphasize personally being listed as a defendant is rarely an issue from an asset protection perspective because the plaintiffs attorney cares more about insurance proceeds than your personal assets.

Now the fed is expected to begin cutting rates and we may begin to see greater separation between bank and alt. lender rates but if the fed cuts rates slowly as predicted  there is likely still a window where alt lenders will be competitive, especially in the scenario I described.

Do you already own this and now want to move to your LLC?

I rented out my condo (short term - midterm) to move in with him, and now he is ready to rent out his single family home (long term).  

We would use it 1 week a year (like we do now) so the 3K we'd normally pay would be used by the condo and the occasional get away during off-season.
