Personally no, but it's just something I don't like to deal with. 

Since I'll be living in one of the units, my personal preference is to find something on the newer side, which would likely mean higher rent/unit but I'm worried the higher price point would limit the tenant pool. 

I would stay personally liable for the mortgage. 

If so, that is the easiest-just say you had a number of applicants and you've rented it to another person. 

I confront him all the time on this and he says it isn’t him, even when I have witnessed it with my own eyes.
