In addition to running the screening report, on your online application request previous landlord's phone numbers as well as their number for their place of employment.

Most of the information that I find online says that a person needs a license to rent or lease properties unless they are the owner of the properties being rented, but I can't seem to find anything that specifies if I/we, as employee(s)/agent(s) of the LLC that owns the properties which I/we manage (including showing and negotiating rental/leasing agreements), am technically exempt or required to be licensed as a broker.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If I do not get many responses I will reach out to people individually as I go throughout the map.

@Chris Connery not knowing for sure what your situation/goals are I thought I would throw out there what I/we are working on right now - similar but different.I am working on forming a partnership with an individual that will bring the 20% down that I need for my properties that I use a commercial portfolio loans on, but the whole loan (80% of purchase price) will be signed by only me.

Though I have no ties with real estate, I have been curious about real estate at various points in my life and the successful individuals in my life in one way or another seemed to be involved in RE. 

I searched online and one house, let’s call it Property X, has caught my attention.

If they are owned outright I would sell them individually to home buyers, definatly not to the tenants, with seller financing.
