It's not a big deal and you can work around it but it is something to be aware of.Typically 30 yr fixed rates better than HELOCs and if they aren't then there is real negative upside potential for interest rates because mose HELOCs rates are variable.

The two biggest variables are condition of the condo to begin with (ie. if it is old, it's more likely going to have more maintenance issues) and the quality of the tenant that's in place.
