Sweeping generalizations as cool.Looking at each of the downsides, some of these apply to hotels as well.The bottom line for me, I keep doing what I am doing and winning.

If you're going to be in the business long, you'll have to pay for certain things sometimes even if the deal doesn't happen such as oil tank sweeps and home inspections.

That said, if the tenants really did do a good job of cleaning and you're just talking about a 5 minute sweep and dust, I wouldn't charge the tenants for this.
