I had a FNMA property that I discovered black mold during inspection, I wanted the bank to either drop the price by a written estimate of a mold remediation or have it taken care of themselves before closing.

This is supposed to be a deterrent to crime and vandalism as it allows law enforcement to write citations for entering.The code people are just doing their job, which usually has nothing to do with a true assessment of habitability or whether or not the problems can be remediated or repaired.

The house sits on a hill so the lot has good drainage.The temperature is currently below freezing, so I'm also concerned about the water freezing in the house.I'm wondering if anyone else has had experience remediating flooded homes.
