This gets them thinking about your eventual move and the stress they might face in finding a new tenant.After some time has passed, you could share that you’ve started looking at other homes, but the options in your price range don’t compare to the property you’re living in.

On some older properties where perhaps you have one water meter for 2-3-4 units or one gas meter for 2-3-4 units, or units that share hot water, something like that the owner might pay. 

You have a freelance job and you can qualify as REP I sharing this from my personal experience.
