It’s a 1500 sq ft apartment, we’d be taking down the walls to open the place up and creating new bedrooms, remodeling bathrooms and kitchen as well.

That said I hate remodels and I would avoid them at all costs.  

He told me luxury real estate is the best because rich people are always buying or building or remodeling in good times and bad (this was around 2010 in Palo Alto, CA).

Seeing the place where you made so many memories with your family trashed, and then going through the emotional turmoil of repairing and remodeling it, knowing it will eventually just get trashed again...are you prepared for that?

From the photos I see on the listing, it looks like it could need:-Removing wall paper and painting-Kitchen remodeling-Removing carpet - replacing with hard wood floors- Not sure about bathrooms (no photos )Note:Roof was replaced 2018 so that is good.HVAC is newWhat do you think?

I normally purchase very cheap homes, remodel, refinance and rent.

If you are a home remodeler and have a knack for finances or a wife that does then fixing for others and for yourself all along keeping some for self is a great plan.

The person who is doing our remodeling work doesn't accept our mode of money transfer(like zelle or bank to bank transfer) and requires checks.

I also own a property remodeling and architectural services company with a headquarters in Daytona.

Then throw in a $20k allowance for remodel.
