STR Property management is common and I know a lot of folks doing this.  

Somehow they manage to live with it.

I joined with the intent to surround myself with others in the field and build my confidence and understanding of the subject matter (:I live a disciplined lifestyle when managing my expenses and living below my means.

I would literally NEVER be able to manage them correctly. 

This one might need a house manager in a few months so some chance to live cheaper in exchange for managing the house. 

I have a short term rental that I self manage and am considered a real estate professional based on material participation rules.  

I have quite a few clients from upstate NY who have properties under my management in Florida.Just a thought ;)

The building's Property Manager is sympathetic to the owners at large, but says they can’t do anything until instructed by the Board, and they indicated the building’s lawyers would only respond to Board members.

Here's her most recent thought on the matter if it helps: "Lack of inspection during building by project managers [is the problem].

We also would like to self-manage if possible.
