What analysis paralysis really is is a lack of confidence.

Here in GA it is a cash sale at the courthouse steps.With all the guru's and TV shows pushing "flip this house" and " a million mistakes were made and we still made money " newbies feel like they can't lose trying their hand at this stuff.In the entry levels flips new investors are overbidding due to lack of experience, construction materials are rising in cost, and contractors are in big demand so they are gouging on what they charge.

And their actual experience may be lacking.

People are doing it, so presumably it works.FWIW, I invested in Japan for a few years, but lack of rent growth, lack of appreciation, concerns about natural disasters, and just general lack of confidence in the J market led me to shift focus only to the US.

Some things popup of course and former tenants hide things, I think your checkout inspection was lacking. 

Refi appraisals lack the reference point and tend to be more all over the map.

Their coaching was lack luster and their training was weak.

How are you going to compensate for your lack of experience?
