So, the actual seller is probably not the issue here.

In general it is not worth building a single ADU for a variety of issues but the largest is the cost to add the ADU is typically far greater than the value added by the ADU.

Also, if you listen to Jerry, he mentions that it almost didn't go through becase of some flood zone issues...so, would that mean he was scamming Asser, if he had said no?

Lot of the issue stems from pillars / blocks that sit on top of the soil in the crawl.

During those 10 days, if they find issues they want repaired, compensated for, its negotiated.
