Eastmoor and whitehall are good too because of newer home ages after 1940 where you don't have knob and tube wiring and some of the other issues. don't be afraid to look at new construction or ground up new builds closer to downtown. rentals are overpriced in these areas but build costs are low and it can be a good strategy

The house had some signs of foundation settlement when he bought it which were chalked up to age, however it’s clear now that there has been more recent movement (some of this may have been due to an earthquake a few years ago) causing about 3 inches of settlement along this very small house.

I need to defer or lower our income as much as possible for my age 64.At age 64 a cost seg makes strategic sense, take the deduction now and not over 27.5 years, or 39 if commercial.
