It's also expensive, locks you in, difficult to use, and the support is very poor.

Having your spouse's support is absolutely critical, otherwise, its a up hill battle all the way. 

Support is what this community is all about. 

Some of them get creative and get roommates, have to find a part time job to supplement their income or move to a less expensive place though that can be hard for long time residents as all of their support is in the area. 

But I do believe that it is critical for REI success to have your spouse on board, at least for passive support. I

Zero experience, zero knowledge and unfortunately at the time, not much support. I

That's where the contractor support is key.
