I talked to some landlords, looked at rental ads, even posted a few of my own test ads, it looks like there is good demand for 2bed 750 un-renovated, 800-850 renovated, 900+ sparkling (stainless appliances, parking, laundry, maybe modern floor plans,etc). but I dont know if these are good renters (of if all responders would fail credit check & check for evictions) I'd *love* to hear other landlords experience of renting in Little Village

If you are going to manage the property remotely from San Diego, you will need a top notch cleaner that will not only be available on super short notice and keep your property sparkling clean for a reasonable rate, but will also be the one you trust to notify you if the tenants did any damage, left a mess, have problems accessing the unit, etc.

Finally, having 50 years of experience is nice, but it also means that, unless you are that one flexible rainbow sparkle unicorn, over the years you probably build up some biases and callouses which might not necessarily be in tune with 2016.
