If you are going to test the market with a new standard, be patient.  

However, before doing anything I take my time to gather information, think outside the box, connect with people who have done the very thing that other people say is impossible, stay patient, see whether there are any unique solutions I can bring, and only then decide what to do.Thanks a lot for your feedback, and I'm looking forward to learning more, especially on the thesis of not using short-term debt for a long-term investment.  

If you have a good JADU candidate you may be best served by being patient. 

These syndications, with balloon payments in 5 years or so, and  partners that sometimes want to sell too early, don't favor patient money.The one that I'm in that is being dumped for a loss perhaps could have been held, especially since it was being successfully turned around, but the sponsor is afraid of running out of money.Numerous sponsors I've invested with mismatched the duration of the liabilities (often 10-12 year terms) with the partnership hold period, taking on long-term debt with prepayment penalties and deciding to sell early.

This means that if you do not want something as active as value adds, you need to be patient.  

I suggest you be patient.

We've also postponed any new capital raising activities since deploying new subscriber capital into distressed assets that we cannot resolve quickly does not make sense.This virus has definitely forced distressed-debt managers to become more creative and patient in a market that they cannot effectively control.

And all therapists should be mental patients themselves.

Investors who take a patient, forward-thinking approach can still reap substantial rewards.
