So what happens is as aluminum oxidizes, the oxidated aluminum causes resistance to the electricity going through it, then it heats up, and well heat causes fire.

The aluminum oxide finish is MUCH harder than the old urethane finishes and it will take a hardwood guy a long time to "blast" through those layers.
