So I am really proud of myself.Yet I realized today that, although I haven't been competing with the Joneses, I do view my ability to purchase certain things (my car for instance) as some sort of proof that I am not that housewife and mother who can't take care of herself financially.

Housewife says: " can you believe a house for $x don't have granite?"

I had a business importing pocketbikes from Italy (before they were the junky toys you see today) Now I am a housewife (VERY strange for me if you knew my background) working on getting my RE career going.

Who might rather be a country club manager , or a cruise boat captain , or a housewife, Or a carpenter or a semi truck driver , et cetera . 

I know some markets are much better than others IE less competition but in our market the competition is keen for sure.and when you have housewifes with the baby in the stroller and 500k in cashiers checks competing against you.. you simply know there is too much money in the market place...

Took a housewife with no real estate experience to let me do it that was sitting on ex-husband's cash.

I do a complete back ground check criminal ,of course credit check . .Any major felony the application is rejected .I make them sign a separate drug policy statement too..Fact last tenants were married the female had tattoos up her arm, basic house wife they paid on time no issues .Fact I would say she was a high class women really a go getter.

One of the reason why we're doing this is so my wife (house wife for the last 8 years and she loves real estate) doesn't ever have to go back to work for a company.
