For large appliances such as Range, Habitat for Humanity is an excellent resource.Home Depot/Hughes and Lowes are good for only few things.

Some things like mattresses I ordered online, some items I got from the Habitat store and some from the local stores there.I semi-lived in the property during a lot of the renovation.

Clearly exempted for Habitat For Humanity in mind, but there areother organizations.I can see a clearing house, possibly as a commercial loan made to a non-profit for them to aquire inventory, then they can sell with financing.

I'd also suggest you guys check for a Habitat For Humanity Re-Store, they get building materials donated from the box stores, some scratch and dent but mostly firsts, out-of-stock items keft over too.

You can get cheap building materials usually from Habitat for Humanity ReStores (if you have any around).Then, your nights and weekends are going to spent sacrificing every moment getting those units fixed up to the point they are rentable.

I saved around $600 on the roof by buying around 20 bundles of roofing from the local Habitat for Humanity Restore that the roof contractor was able to use and match...Actually, overall the roof came in more expensive than I thought it would...I had only budgeted around $175 a square...The electrician who worked on the house works for a commercial electrical subcontractor and moonlighted for us for around $25 an hour.
