I do generally agree with the sentiment of Austin and the other hosts that fundamentals will always win out in the long run, and this by nature is a long term industry, even the sales side I'm learning.  

Became very unresponsive very quickly, did not complete agreed upon work, made false claims about capacity and what they would do, etc.

Before any mediated settlement is binding, the parties to the dispute must agree to the settlement, in writing.

Agree with the others, it's definitely a scam, so report it to Vrbo as such through the app, no need to call them.
