I have a couple of duplexes which are single family with a carriage house.  

Twice I've bought a primary residence where I specifically looked for a place with an extra building on the lot (carriage house, ADU, granny flat, barn, etc) that I could remodel into an STR that pays the mortgage. 

The electrical has some exposed wiring in the attic crawl space that needs to be in a junction box and to restore power to the detached carriage house where my cousin lives.As well as a handy man to grease some reluctant windows and fix a leaking valve as well as smaller issues.Looking to get multiple quotes if possible.Can anyone recommend any good people who might be able to get to this soon?

Lenders don't really care where the money comes from any longer as long as it's there.You can also look into seller-financing but that's putting the carriage in front of the horse at the moment.Best of luck.

I bought a place with a detached carriage house in Central Park and my little 700 square foot loft covers the entire mortgage and a couple hundred on top every month. 

We have several additions and a carriage home coming up in the near future and are looking for a framing company to partner with. 

I own a 3-unit property: a duplex and a carriage house.

There is that a family member is living in a detached carriage house on her grandmother's property. 

The house has 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms on the main floor, a separate illegal basement suite with 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom in the basement AND an oversize double garage with a 1 bedroom carriage suite in the backyard.

The property has two houses on the lot (a big house and a carriage house).
