Can you ever use these funds as they accumulate to go purchase another property or does that trigger taxes?

Hi members,I recently met my CFP and he concluded that after all these years of accumulation in 401k it's time to take steps to minimize taxes and reduce/eliminate RMD. 

Perhaps 5 years into the future, when I have a more stable life and future plan, I can use that cash flow that has been accumulating over the past few years to fund a flip and potentially make some serious money.
