@John Clark all of your points about info sharing, while correct in their conceptual execution (except for the idea that AirBnB is the only party to have transnational info, the renter and property owner do too), hinge upon the idea that AirBnB has any duty to share that information with the government, that the government can't get that information any other way to enforce its regulations, and that the government has a need for the information if they can't get it anywhere else.
