Just throwing a fake example here: a 3/2 SFR in NY vs a 3/2 in OH, MI, IN etc. what are the property taxes?

I'm looking for some advice on investing in Michigan generally, and/or Grand Rapids, MI specifically.

I just moved to Michigan and I am looking to get another property-could be a single family rental or multi family, duplex , or anything for cash flow.

I ended up hiring a local attorney who specialized in landlord-tenant disputes, and while it cost me a bit more upfront, it was worth it to get the situation resolved without additional delays.A close friend of mine also delt with an out-of-state eviction in Michigan last year.

Hi Martti,I happen to be someone that lives, eats and breathes in this area of Real Estate investing every day in Detroit MI. 

So I sat on the sidelines being very impatient.While I looked for deals of 8 units or larger in Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana I let my cash build up.
