I recall reading about it in CNBC...The quest for solid returns in our current market might feel daunting with interest rates where they are, but the good news is.. if you find the right deal and set clear criteria.. like a minimum cash flow target, or a plan for eventual refinancing.. your numbers can still work out.

Apparantly that didn't work out for them either as they sold all their properties a couple of months later.

But if you bought your properties correctly, it will work out.

As for other amenities, some crowd-pleasers that won't break the bank are coffee maker + starter pack of pods, basic workout equipment (yoga mat, resistance bands), phone charging stations by the beds, and basic kitchen essentials like olive oil, salt/pepper, coffee filters, etc.

But again, if you're going to take it down to change out furnishings anyway, then the timing could work out well.

Get a quote, and see if there is something you can work out.

Hmm, thanks again, I'll recheck some Japanese properties and see whether something there looks like it might work out ok. 

There are also deals that can be find on jud.ct.gov for foreclosure auctions but those rarely work out because the people usually owe more than the property is worth or they get cancelled and postponed frequently. 

Since I work out of a home office (for now), I use a PO Box as my business mailing address.  

These old houses built 70-90 years ago seem to never break once I work out all the kinks.
