@Christopher Munn Kind of hard to answer because the correct direction has multiple pivot points I would take with more information so I only tell you step oneFirst I would get another Hvac contractor opinion Let me cite some statistics in my own life 75% of the time in AC contractor goes into a tenants house and tells me that the thing needs to be totally replaced instead of fixed I find somebody else who tells me they can just fix it good enough.
