I think timing had a lot to do with his success.I guess that's a long winded way to say I disagree in part :).But I think Gladwell overemphasizes the chance circumstances in which each successful person was placed and underestimates the ability and/or work ethic to capitalize on opportunity.

Forgive me but it seems like $80,000 is a lot to invest in a property for over 2 years.

Being hit with a $7.2MM lawsuit, frivolous or not, would be an awful lot to deal with.

I really don't care for all the negativity given here about Pitt bulls I think they also get a bad reputation I think their looks have a lot to do with it.

it depends on your method of financing abs condition of the property.... those rents won't cover a mortgage unless you have a lot to put down, please expand
