My name is Jacob and I'm brand new to REI but I have a background in sales and marketing; I used to work for a company that provided internet advertising and websites to realtors. 

An independent may be the way to go versus the name brand firms but not sure.

If the LLC property is held for rental use, then the mortgage interest is deducted against rental income on Schedule E (not deducted against other personal income).
