Its in the kitchen, bed room and living room....ughhhh The only way to know what you like is to make a decision and see what your experience is.

Look at your loan estimate and see what the difference would be by not buying the rate down and how long it will take to realize a gain by buying it down and then make a decision about which way would be better.  

When they know you're the decision maker you'll get every request under the sun and it's a lot easier to just be the messenger and blame the "Owner" for denying the request. 

. - over last 2 months property manager has made about $750 extra payment while I have lost about $2000 unexpected losses and it’s all a result of the property managers decisions.

I would love to get some feedback from other investors who may have dealt with this decision in the past!

The best single economic decision I ever made was hanging on to our starter home in Mill Valley when it came time to buy our next, larger home.

One thing if you agreed based on the situation but you not knowing about it and only being 3 months….I would at least ask them for justification for why they deserve that after 3 months, and them making this decision unilaterally.
