Let's pretend I have acquired 10 mixed real estate investments, single family and possibly duplexes or triplexes.

I have recently been looking into starting my direct mail efforts for acquiring my first property.  

OK, so my husband and I just got into a huuuge argument over this.He is not associated with real estate in any way btw.I was trying to explain to him my plan/strategy to acquire a bunch of owner financed investment properties within the next couple of years.

(A) Activities of a foreign limited liability partnership that do not constitute transacting business for the purpose of section 1776.86 of the Revised Code include all of the following:..........(7) Creating or acquiring indebtedness, with or without a mortgage or other security interest in property;(8) Collecting debts or foreclosing mortgages or other security interests in property securing the debts, and holding, protecting, and maintaining property so acquired;What local was the subject property located in where you forced to do this?

I know he is not hurting for $$ but does not enjoy being a Land Lord.If it were you in this situation, what would you do to acquire the property?

It is also possible to start off with a regular Forward 1031 Exchange (sell SFRs first, buy multi-family later) and combine or end with a Reverse 1031 Exchange if not all of your SFRs have sold by the time you must acquire your replacement property. 

So, what do I think of News Corp acquiring Move?

Anyone on here have experience with acquiring these kinds of deals ?

I'm looking to acquire in the $80-150k range (even if that means a little fixing up).  

In under 7 years Ive acquired 21 rentals, over 70 storage units, and 2 commercial bldgs.
