Once supply became too much, then prices leveled off, then fell, then worse --> the crater of the Great Recession hit the entire US and prices SUNK - and quite frankly this affected the entire world, because banks were/are now internationally interdependent on each other.

I bought my house in Fort Lauderdale with the idea of house-hacking into two separate areas but it was based on the floor plan as all I needed to add with an internal door (house has a weird hallway in the middle so I didn't have to do much).
