he paid just under one million cash for his ranch I sold him in 91.. and I would venture to guess his portfolio back then was worth 30 to 40k million all free and clear and today probably north of 150 million.. so yes I think that's an accurate statement.. plenty of guys like this in the bay area though.. they just don't hang on BP LOL

The way you invest in Huntsville (ie DIY using a BRRR method or flipping, or using a turnkey company to keep it as passive as possible) will depend on your goals, your time, and your interest (because we're all better at things we enjoy, so if going the DIY route doesn't sound like FUN even though its hard work, then consider whether you'll actually stick it out).

@Brad HammondYes, that is the direction that I will take, I am putting the house on the market next week, and look for other ventures in another market, being a landlord in Portland has way too many disadvantages, even with Airbnb.Thanks to all, I will update the progress.
