I want to fix and flip properties at first, them buy and hold townhouses in Manhattan and Brooklyn for vacation rentals, and eventually invest in bigger projects from there.Any suggestions on how to get moving quickly from this extremely stressful situation and get started?

So this is a deal that I came across, it’s out of my league but I was curious what you guys might think.It’s a vacation rental on a lake, for sale for 1.3M.

If not, then the store used to be another pharmacy chain that was bought out by Walgreens to improve their market coverage in that region, which increases the probability they will vacate at the end of the firm term. 

Turnkey investing or going the roofstock route is definitely a shortcut way to get started, but again, depending on your time horizon, I think self-education is important, so once you pick a market, visit it (excuse for a little family vacation), meet realtors and contractors, attend a local REIA meeting to make local investor contacts (they are very easy to find via google search or on meetup), see some properties, and become a more informed investor. 

And then what happens in next economic downturn when folks vacation less?

When vacation of the premises is required for such extermination, the landlord shall not be liable for damages but shall abate the rent.

Same for vacation type properties.

I feel for some of the really hard hit markets like Vegas and all the vacation destinations.

It is obviously going to be appealing to family reunions, wedding parties, and two/three families meeting up for vacation. 

Any advice with the current state of the market with STR vacation homes?
