I appreciate sustainable and residual income, so I appreciate that with the business traveler I can develop a client relationship with the company who will rent from me on a regular basis. 

As long as your standards and criteria are resonable(and legal) never deviate or make exceptions to them for anyone.  

The owner I worked for had a resident manager who actually died from injuries sustained while getting in-between two angry tenants.  

If there's no job growth, then the appreciation is going to stop and not sustainable.

The use of Airbnb in most places is here to stay - they are providing a service that customers resonate with.

Of course if they were not willing to then work with me that would be another story but it seems like this lady in your situation is trying really hard to keep her home, but in the end it is entirely your call and your budget and what it can sustain. 

A lot of folks are spread too thin and aren't able to sustain their model for any length of time when the going gets rough.That isn't AirBNB/Verbo's fault.

Unless real estate is a very small portion of your portfolio, you can't sustain long term negative cash flows.

And I don't disagree with not filing- I just went on a bit of a tear when people shrug and say "don't bother with the courts"You can always file and eviction- whether you sustain it is a different matter.

As time went, more "jankie" multi-plexs came into the system until market declined a bit into sustainable levels and the city had a glut of skummy properties bringing everything down.
