I don't honestly know if it matters tax-wise if it's classified as an RV or a permanent dwelling for purposes of writing off rental income etc.However, before you proceed make sure you carefully look into the local zoning laws, which can be a catch-22 for tiny homes.

Maybe something easier and more short term: get a photo for my account :) Since the start of the year i have been voraciously consuming material on real estate with BP podcasts and two books, have been building my network in many Canadian/American areas (thank you BP community), and have started to study a number of different markets (Squamish, Kelowna, Thunder Bay Ontario, and Edmonton) to try and find my best options.

So the maintenance just keeps getting deferred (it's a downward cycle) because deferred maintenance leads to cheap rent which means you don't have the money to catch up on maintenance...and so on...and so on...and so on.So what would I do in your shoes.
