I have 10K in cash as well and can probably pull another 10K from an IRA, but if it is not necessary I'd rather hold onto that money to invest later.I will be joining my employer's remote workforce and am currently negotiating to be able to work "remote" from out of state -- namely Florida.

There is absolutely no need to pay the typical $thousands of dollars to buy one.If you end up buying one, or better yet, taking one over, you will want to join a reputable club that facilities trades from one location to another, so you don't end up staying at the same place each time.

I love Florida and have friends and family there.I wish you much success and happy travels,DavePS Once you settle on an area get involved in the community, learn the good and bad areas, meet good local Realtors (ones that have investment properties), drive for dollars(preferably in a tag along car which I hope you have), join the local investment group (if there is one).

Hello,After lurking around for a bit, I decided to sign up for a BiggerPockets account and join in the conversation (actually, mostly asking questions at this point).I live in Waukesha, WI and I own my tiny house outright :-)I'd like to start investing in multi-family real estate (duplex, triplex, four-plex), and I have two questions for the community here . . .1) From what I've read so far, it seems that under four units, multi-family properties usually aren't valued by a CAP rate, but still, I'm curious.
